Hi all,
I have a, most likely, silly question. I am trying to access a hidden share
(\\computer\c$) on a workstation in a child domain. I am a member of the
domain admins group in the parent domain and this group is a member of the
local administrators group in the child domain.
However, whenever I attempt to access the hidden share I get prompted for a
username and password. I am unable to connect using the credentials of the
account I am currently logged in as.
I then try to authenticate using: child-domain-name\local-admin-account. I
then get the following error:
Logon Failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at
this computer.
If I use terminal services and log on to the child domain controller, I can
connect and authenticate with the hidden share on the workstation.
Am I missing something here or...
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks.
