How do I setup a user to have equal authority to the Domain Administrator in
Windows 2000 Active Directory? I want a second user to have exact equal
capabilities as the Active Directory Administrator.

Thank you.

MikeP,

Placing a user account into the global group "Domain Admins" will grant
that account all Domain Administrator privledges.

Placing that account into the "Enterprise Admins" group (found in the
forest root) will grant them Enterprise Administrator privledges.

With "Domain Admin" privledges, and "Enterprise Admin" privledges this
account will be the equivialent to the the "Administrator" account in a
single-domain forest.

Regards

Thanks for the quick response. I actually did what you both suggested with
different users, but I was not sure I was getting the exact equivalent to
Administrator.

Thank you!
