I change the auditing on the local computer acount and
after I rebooting I can not loggon to the system. Is there
any other way other than reinstalling a new copy of win2k
to fix this problem.

Changing the audting should not have anything to do with your problem,
changed membership from domain to workgroup certainly could. See FAQ link
