Mike

I have a laptop with only a user account password. The
administrator pass was set up by an old spouse. I've been
serching for a way to get in and remove or change the
admin pass for weeks. I can't afford the expensive 3rd
party software that I've located. (150 to 600 dollars)
if it even works and I don't want to format and reload.
Some of the original disks are gone.
Isn't there a way to go in to a command prompt at boot
and disable the admin pass of delete it. How about the
mmc? Using f8 at boot, gives me the same administrator
pass problem. How about the registry. Does anyone know
what keys are connected to the password or admin account.

Thanks for the help or a point in the right direction.
