Hi

When I was upgrading win2k to XP, I skipped the option to create users
accounts during the installation as I didn't want to, and kept the old one,
as win2k Administrator with the same password.
Now in XP, when I try to create a new user account with limited permissions
windows say that I must create first an administrator account. How to make
them recognise the one I use to boot/log on?
I don't want to create a new administrator, because windows will add a
tone of new files and folder for the new name.

Thanks.

WindowsXP insists you have an admin account in addition to
'administrator'. Just bite the bullet and do it - the overhead is
remarkably small, and if the extra name bothers you, you can use TweakUI
(XP version) to hide the admin account (although 'Administrator' is
hidden by default, so it's really a better plan to leave 'Administrator'
for emergencies and use the new admin account for normal admin tasks.
