AntiSpyware says it has removed the Adlogix plugin - but it
shows again when rerunning the scan. Any thoughts? Or is
MS fixing this?

Adlogix is detected by Spy Sweeper, but not by MS
AntiSpyware. It is removed by Spy Sweeper, but
reinstalled every time I run Internet Explorer (even when
I'm physically disconnected from the internet). Spy
Sweeper recommends running a scan in Safe Mode, but I am
unable to start Windows in Safe Mode. I hit F8 and select
Safe Mode, but I get an error message that Windows did
not start successfully. I can only start Windows
normally. I get an error message to check proxy settings
when I try to submit a suspected spyware to Microsoft.
Did you ever submit suspected spyware to MS?

I've never managed a suspected spyware report from an infected machine, but
I've submitted from several clean machines--for me it mostly works, although
occasionally I see the same error message you see.
On other machines I've tested from, I see the same error you do
consistently. I don't believe it relates to any network issue on your
machine.

On the removal issue--I would do Start, run, msconfig <enter>

If you use a third party firewall, disconnect from the Internet before
restarting.

Check off the Diagnostic mode startup, and restart in diagnostic mode.

Scan with both your antispyware products, and maybe an antivirus in
addition.
