Hello.

My computer screen is 1600x1200 pixels. This makes it
very hard to center the mouse pointer on top of window
borders when I want to resize a window. In prior versions
of Windows, I recall a "resize window border" control
which permitted making all borders wider or narrower, in
units of pixels.

I have thoroughly searched my new Windows-XP help files
and configuration settings for this border width control,
but have not been able to find it.

Has Windows-XP dropped support of this simple, but very
productive, window configuration control? Is there some
unadvertised registry setting which could be reset to
provide control of window border width?

Thanks.
Harold

A search the Windows XP Professional Help and Support Center
for "windows borders" (with double-quotes) returns the topic
"To use the classic Windows look"...

Control Panel/Display/Appearance Tab/Advanced Button.

Click on the Item drop down menu and resize the Active Window Border and
Inactive Window Border values.
