I have a PowerPoint presentation that I am trying to run.
It consists of pictures that were taken on a digital
camera. This presentation runs fine on other computers,
but not on the one that I am using. I have Windows 98,
and am using PowerPoint viewer to see the slide show. The
pictures are all showing up dark. Some of them are barely
visible because of how dark they are. Nothing else on
this computer is showing up dark, just these pictures. I
can see pictures on the internet, etc. fine. How can I
adjust this?

Do other presentations run in the Viewer on this system also show dark, or
is it only this one? That would help pin down the source of the problem.

I did check out other presentations, and it seems that
they are all coming out dark, not just the one that I was
originally referring to.

Try playing it in Safe Mode. Does a presentation still show up dark? If
not, I would recommend that you update your video driver. Visit the video
card manufacturer's site and look for an current driver for Win 98.

Heh, I know that feeling. Luckily Steve recently reminded me the HA
stuff is on the FAQ, so now I don't have to remember the steps for the
different versions of Windows. woohoo!
