Hi all - Access 2003 - XP Pro SP2

I have a new data entry form with which entries are made to a table. In one
of the controls, when the data is entered it looks as if it is starting from
the far left of the control, but, in the table it is 2 spaces from the left
instead of at the left. I have looked in the Help and it said the TextAlign
properties of the control can be to General, which = 0 or the Left. I have
tried both of these settings and it is still 2 spaces from the left. I had
data that had been entered to the table as basic setup and it is fully
aligned to the left of the field in the dataview, so I don't think the
problem is with the table field.

This is the first time I have seen this kind of problem, and nothing I have
tried yet has made any difference. Is there some other setting I can use
that I have perhaps not found yet, perhaps not used the correct search
wording, that would enable the text to properly align to the far left in the
table field?

Hi Jan :-),
Tables are designed for storing data, not displaying it. As long as the data
is correctly stored in the table, it shouldn't matter to you how it happens
to display when you view it through the table datasheet. You are not
planning to let any users see the table datasheet, are you?

No....Users will not see the table datasheet. But, when the data is
displayed in the Record form, the part of the data that was originally
entered to the table when the db was first set up is displayed fully at the
left of the control. However, that which is now being entered from the
Entry form is displayed off-set the two spaces from the left and shows that
way in the Record form. That is what is confusing me. I can't see what is
causing it to be off set. It has to be in the form entry control somewhere,
as when the date is entered to the table direct, it is always aligned fully
to the left, and displayed that way in the Record form.
