adjusting fields to accept more more information

I am having trouble in forms and reports, in that I cannot enter enough info
into the field (limited to 50 characters) and then in report those fields are
being truncated (cut off). But I cannot find anyway to open these fields up
to accept more and to print more information.
 
I think there is some confustion here and that perhaps this is all a little
new to you. First, a field is not a part of a form, it is part of a table.
What you need to do first, is go in to design view for the table where the
data is and look at the length of the field. Make it as long as you need it
(up to 255 characters). Then, you may need to make your Text Box (a control
