Daniel

I'm locked out of Windows. It says a hardware change has
taken place and shuts down as a precaution. How to get
around this? Appreciate some help. Thanks.

Well, I cleared CMOS through jumper on the mobo to no
avail (this was AFTER ratcheting UP processor speed again
in BIOS, so maybe I got the chronology wrong). BUT I WAS
able to get it up to NEAR capacity (2.0 GHz--not bad!) by
selecting in BIOS "User Define" (instead of "3200", as
in "Athlon XP 3200") and selecting 10, instead of 11, for
the Multiplier Factor.

Still a little annoyed I can't get it up to its full
potential, but that's probably just being greedy. This is
probably as fast as you'd ever need anyhow. Anyway,
Thanks again, Daniel
