Does anyone know how to change the size of the background that frames the
..swf file I inserted into a Powerpoint slide?

Select the Flash control that you have added. You should see the white dots
at the corner. Hover over and drag it to resize. Is that what you are
referring to? If not, please post back with more details.

That resizes the whole thing - making the flash file smaller, as well as the
gray frame around it. I was able to change the background color in the same
window where I entered the path, but I didn't see a place to adjust the
background size or ratio.

Click on the Browse button denoted by three dots.
Then, under scale, set it to ExactFit and see if it works.

That didn't work - Howeve, by changing the Salign field to T I can now "crop"
the background out by using the handles you mentioned in your first response.
I can adjust the sides and bottom, but not the top. Any idea as to what I
should enter in that field in order to crop all four sides?
