Hi,

Does anyone know of a widget or way to adjust brightness on a laptop
via ACPI or ...?

I'm looking for a way to adjust monitor brightness without using the
function keys on the laptop and not using the video card's utility.

I little of topic but this group would know.

Thanks,

Lee G.

I found a way to set up CTRL commands to adjust brightness via my
keyboard.
The utility had a table in which I set CTRL H (brightness higher) and
CTRL B (decrease brightness).
Works fine - except:

1. Can't make text bold in word, Excel etc... because of course the
screen goes darker instead.
2. I always record any changes I make so they are reversible, but that
particular post-it somehow vanished into thin air.
3. I cannot work out how to access the Control Command Table now,
despite a few web searches!

If you can work out what I did, or hear back from someone, pls let me
know, it was actually a great utility!
