TAKE NOTE: Screensavers are a popular way of getting nasty viruses onto
people's computers. Make sure to virus check the downloaded files BEFORE
doing anything with them.
Generally screensavers will d'load as a ".exe" executable program or as a
".scr" screensaver file. The ".exe" files are simple, you just need to run
them for them to install and set themselves up. On the other hand, I think
".scr" files have to be put into your system folder where all the other
screensaver files are (could be C:\WINNT\system32 or similar). Follow the
search idea in the next paragraph to find the other ".scr" files.
Take note when you download of the location that you've saved them. Or,
presuming you know the name of the file (eg. stars.scr, or flower.exe),
search for that using Windows Search on the Start menu. If you can't
remember the name of the files, it's a little trickier, especially for the
".exe" files, as there can be a lot of those on your computer. In the Search
window, make sure you're looking on your Local Harddrives, and type "*.scr"
or "*.exe" (remembering to remove the " marks) to search for them. This will
find ALL files of types ".scr" or ".exe", and just look through the list
until you find the one you downloaded.
