We installed this program (AdFree) and it started going
crazy in our system, so we got rid of it. Now when we try
to access websites we get the "Cannot find server". This
is very random, sometimes a website will work, the next
time it won't. We're at a complete loss.

My best suggestion would be to remove this application.
It does not to be performing as designed. After removing
this application, a better choice (in my opinion)is the
Google Toolbar at
www.google.com under Serivces and
Tools. This application integrate with IE very well. If
you are using another browser, I am not sure this
information will help. One other strong not, if you read
through the EULA it does state that it tracks some
information on your browsing habits. It does not track on
a machine basis, only tracks by the browser plugin
itself. So without further ado. If you application
performed other processes like checking your computer for
ScumWare, there are many of other applications out there.
Two very good applications SpyWareBlaster and
SpyWareGuard by Javacool Software. These applications
together provide a full security system in regards to
malware or spyware/scumware. The first SpyWareBlaster
monitors you system actively for an file that transfered
to your computer that may be known to contain spyware. It
will automatically circumvent the installation. The other
app: SpyWareGuard performs active scan on your system for
malicious/unwanted applications or files. Both of these
products have been rated very highly by different
sources, one be Smart Computing Magazine. There are both
DonationWare programs. If you like these applications,
make a donation so the author can continue to write good
programs.
