Addresses on Task Bar Disappear

XP Home. I show addresses on my taskbar, one on top and the rest via
the drop down. During a session today they all disappeared. Rebooted
and still not there. Why would this happen? My files are saved to
another disk and maybe this one can be retrieved, rather than
recreated. What would the file name be and where would it be stored?
Thanks,

If you cleared the "Recent Documents" list, this also erases the IE address
bar history.

This is accessible from:
- right-click Start, go to Properties
- click Customize
- click Advanced
- click "Clear List"

Thanks but these instructions don't seem to work in XP Home.
Taskbar/Customer doesn't have an Advanced and Start
Menu/Customize/Advanced Windows Explorer but I don't see a Clear List
anywhere. In addition, the question I raised is how the list of items
(e.g., Opera 7) could disappear from the Taskbar address drop down list
when I didn't clear the Recent Docs list in IE or anywhere else. In
fact, I don't normally use IE except when checking a site that isn't
working right in Opera.
