I am running outlook 2003 from the office suite. We are running an
exchance server. I am just a user.

I want to be able to type the first few letters of someone's name or
email address and have that drop down list pop up while i am in the TO:
CC: or BCC: fields.

I am somewhat familiar with outlook, but am still learning. Can someone
point me in the right direction.

PS: If i send out an email in the morning the next time i click new and
start typing in the "SAME" recipent's name it drops down. But i would
like to see everyone in my address book rather just the people i have
already sent an email to that day. (confusing i know)

thanks for your help in advance.

Tools>Options>E-mail Options>Advanced E-mail Options. Check "Suggest
names..."

Can't. That's the way autocompletion works. Use autoresolution instead.
enter a few characters and press CTRL-K.

Outlook builds the autocomplete list from the people you send messages to. Be patient. After you've been using it for a while, Outlook will automatically suggest the names you've been using. In the meantime, you don't have to type in full names. Type in partial names and Outlook will attempt to resolve them against the entries in your address book.

Starts immediately. If you type a match for an entry you've already sent,
you'll see it.
If not, make sure you have the option enabled.
