Addresses not saving and autocomplete not working

I have two PCs that were both upgraded from Win 98 to Win XP and Outlook
Express to Outlook 2002. After the upgrade, contact info (names and email
addresses) for senders of incoming emails are not automaticaly saving in the
address book. In addition, the autocomplete feature for entering recipients
in the To, Cc, and Bcc fields does not work.

Exchange is not used on the system, so the "Contacts" folder has been
selected for the "keep personal addresses in" address book setup option.
Also, the .nick and NK2 files have been removed, and the inbox repair tool
has been used on the .pst files. Outlook successfully recreated a .NK2 file,
however, the problems still persist.

Please let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks!

Very unclear post.
Outlook 2002 and Outlook Express are in no way related. There is no such
thing as upgrading from one to the other. Clarify what you meant.
I cannot imagine anyone ever wanting to save senders addresses automatically
unless you want an Contact database full of spammers. Clarify what you
really want to do.
Finally, since you "removed" your NK2 file (which holds your autocompletion
data), how did you expect autocompletion to work?
