Address List

I have XP Home edition. I want to creat an address list of about 100 names and addresses, be able to edit the list, and be able to print the complete list on about 4 pages. It would be nice to use the list for making mailing labels, too. Mail Merger Wizard in Word seems to have to right data base and fields for doing this, but I am having real difficulty saving any attempts or finding a way to print them out. What are the basic steps I should be taking here? Do I need to buy address list software?
 
Just make either a table in word, or put a tab between fields and a paragraph after each record, save it as a text file.
 
You probably should ask this question in a "Word" newsgroup--- but, I can
tell you I use the mail merge wizard in Word to do this-- It's a bit
tricky, play with it a bit try using only a few addresses first., when you
get the hang of it, it works fine. Or, you can go out and buy, or download,
other software for $50-$100! Use what you have already paid for, I say.
