IE 6.x all MS updates

How can I remove individual URL usages after browsing to a website?
Sometimes I go to a partners website and prefer not leaving tracks while @ a
client's site.
I know I can remove the URL from the History but how can I remove it from
the drop down URL for the Address Line?
How can I remove just a set selection of entries also, such as today's or
9AM-12N.
I'd prefer to not modify the registry, if possible. Blanket removal is an
option (removal all entries)
TIA,
Tom

You need to figure out the source to know what actions you have to take.
E.g. if you see the subject URL in the dropdown list when you press F4
that's the TypedURLs list. It only has 25 entries, so the simplest thing
to do is just put 25 less provocative entries in it instead. BTW you could
avoid adding to that list entirely by using the Ctrl-o Open dialog instead
of entering new URLs via the Address bar.

I often give a longer more complete answer to this question which you
could find via Google Groups with keyword: recursion
