address deletion

Can somebody explain to me how I can delete the list of
adresses which appear in the address box and show all the
previous web sites I have visisted. Thanks
 
What browser are you using?

Netscape:
Edit...Preferences...Navigator...History...Clear Location
Bar

IE6 (as well as some other versions):
Tools...Internet Options...Clear History - which will not
only clear the address bar, but your history file also.
