While cleaning up my contacts in Outlook, something happened and they have
all appeared as separate address cards on my desktop - hundreds of them. I
can't even locate my shortcuts to my applications. Has anyone encounted this
problem - or have I done something really stupid? Any help wouid be
appreciated.

It sounds like you dragged copies to the desktop - were you trying to put
them in windows trash? Select them and delete. If you have a Dell laptop,
it could be the outlooksetupaddin that did it.
