I recently upgraded my office suite to Microsoft Office
XP Professional. I don't use Outlook but I use Outlook
Express. My address book disappear completely from
Express, yet I can see it on Outlook.

I tried to import my original .wab file, said it
successfully imported but there are no records. Help!!!

You failed to mention where your Contacts resided when you were using Office
2000. Were they in OE or Outlook? Apparently you did not realize that
Outlook Express no longer shares Contacts with Outlook when you use Outlook
2002. You have to use a reg hack to restore that feature.

they were in OE originally. what i did was export the
contacts as a .csv file and import into OE -- all my
contacts transferred but I lost all my contact groups.

Then you are in the wrong group. This is a group to support Outlook from the
Office group of programs. Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and
is a quite different program despite its similar name..

You will probably get a faster and more expert answer if you post this to an
outlook express news group.

Try posting in one of these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress for OE 6.x

A good website for information on OE is:
http://www.tomsterdam.com/
