How do I make more than one Personal Address Book? I can make a Personal
Address Book and Rename it to what I want but once I have done it once I cant
make another. The reason I want to do this is because I want to keep my
personal address, my work addresses and the association that I run addresses
seperate. This means 3 address books.

Many Thanks

Outlook has not used a PAB for many years. There is no reason you should. It
was replaced by Outlook's Contacts Folder and the Outlook Address Book. You
can enable as many Contacts Folders to appear in the Outlook Address Book as
you wish.

Russ
Thanks.
Outlook is new to me as I used to use a different email client.

I have just done a search and found this
Convert your Personal Address Book to a Contacts folder
The Personal Address Book has a .pab file extension and its default location
is drive:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook.
On the File menu, click Import and Export.
Under Choose an action to perform, click Import from another program or
file, and then click Next.
Under Select file type to import from, click Personal Address Book, and then
click Next.
Under Select destination folder, click Contacts or a subfolder under Contacts.
Click Finish.

The problem this now gives me is you state Outlook dosn't use pab. When I
follow the wizard it asks to import a pab. The way I see it is I have to
create a pab for each set of addresses I want then convert that to an Outlook
Contacts Folder. This again takes me back to my initial question I can only
make 1 pab, unless it means create a pab then convert it to a contacts folder
then delete that pab and make a new one with onother list of addresses then
convert that to a Contacts folder and so on until I have all my Contacts
Folders set up.

I probably have the wrong end of the stick here so would appreciate some
guidance on how to do it.

Much appreciated and many thanks

Russ

Again many thanks.

Will have look at the link. My Outlook version is 2003 SP2

Ignore anything you see about a PAB. You have no reason to use one.

You'll have one Contacts folder automatically when you set Outlook up for
the first time. You can add more any time you want by clicking New>Folder
and specifying that the folder should contain contact items.

Outlook will create your first (and default) Contacts Folder automatically
when you set it up. You can then create others using the File > New > Folder
command.
Just enable each Contact Folder as an email address book and it will appear
in your Outlook Address Book. More detailed instructions here:
