What happened to the ADDRESS BOOK from OUTLOOKS (MS OFFICE) after updated
from Windows XP to Vista? Just can't locate it anywhere from oil.windows
(folder). After years of collecting all families and friends' addresses. And
now it is all GONE?
Another terrible thing is that... Windows Mail doesn't allow read & write
from hotmail account.

Suggest you try Windows Easy Transfter program. However, if you want to use
Hotmail, I'd suggest you download Windows Live Mail before doing so and use
it rather than Windows Mail. It allows HTTP mail (e.g. Hotmail) as OE did.
Your old Outlook mail file(s) end in .pst and your Address Book in .wab. If
you don't use the Easy Transfer programs you'll have to import/export the
files to transfer them from XP to Vista.

I transferred my Address Book on my old computer to My Documents one entry
at a time and then put it in a Folder.
Then downloaded the Folder to a Flash Drive and installed it in the new
Vista encumbered computer into Documents.
Then Sent it to Microsoft Works which controls .WAB (Windows Address
Book). It automatically showed up in Mail as all programs use the same
Address Book.

All programs, it would appear, except Live Mail which seems to have been
designed by a different company than Microsoft. Have not been able to
transfer the Address Book into Live Mail by any means other than typing them
in one at a time thusfar.

Does anything work right in Vista?
