Can any one help me in providing a program that will allow me to copy my
address book from Outlook Express to a new computer - my problem was that
the Administrator name was changed with the new computer so, my old address
can not be copied to the new computer - any help will be greatly
appreciated.

Open Help in OE and type in export. The instructions there
are easy to follow. Then once you have the file exported
just import it into your new system. Help on importing can be
found the same way.

I am sorry but both informations provided by DL & gls858 I do not
understans - I am still looking for a program or something that would allow
me to rename my old OE address book to a new name on my new computer.

You don't need a program it's built right into OE.
Open OE go to File > Export a window opens and ask what type of file
select CSV (comma separated values) save it to your desktop. You can then
copy it to a floppy,cd,thumbdrive,whatever. Then on you new machine go to
file > Import > Other address book > select CSV again then browse to the
file you saved and hit next select the fields you want to import. I'm
assuming you are using OE on your new machine maybe that's incorrect.

Hi Jim... I am not sure that a new computer will import the WAB file.. I
think it depends on the version of OE you have on the new computer... not
really sure, sure! I have had problems exporting before..

Open the address book in Outlook Express.. file/ export/ Address Book WAB,
save it somewhere on your computer, give it a name, I name mine WAB 12/27/06
or whatever the date is.. then burn to disk or if you have to you can copy
to floppy.. but I would choose the floppy last .....Hope this helps... Rainy

To everyone "Thank You" for all your help, sometimes it's hard for this all
guy to understand the answers but now I've got it and was able to transfer
the address list as "shared"

When I did this, I made the name of the file the same on the two computers.
You can rename the name on your old computer to the name on your new
computer and copy and save to your new computer. It will ask if your want to
over write the file on your new computer, say yes. This worked for me.
