MI CANNOT GETB THE ADDRESS BOOK TO ASSOCIATEVWITH THE CONTACTS. WHEN I CLICK ON THE ADDRESS BOOK IT SAYS IT CNNOT FIND THE CONTACTS FOLDER BUT I CAN E MAIL DIRECTLY OUT OF THE CONTACT

right click on your contacts folder and choose properties. Make sure it's
checked to use the outlook address book.

open the address book from the tools menu, then open it's tools, options
menu and delete all of the address books listed and add them back.

I have Outlook 2000, running under XP, and it always looks
in OE's address book instead of its own.

When I right-click contacts properties, the General tab
says "Contacts" and so does the Outlook Address tab.

When I then open the address book from tools and open its
tools menu, there is no "options" item on the menu.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Ivan Berger

This is simply not possible. No version of Outlook uses OE's address book
(the WAB). You need to specify the mail support mode you are using. If
you're using Outlook 2000 in Internet Mail Only, OE might be using Outlook's
Contacts Folder. Is that what you mean?
