Address book won't 'delete' old email address for Contacts in autofill?...

Hi all -

Very frustrating problem that seems to be happening with a lot of
people...

If I have a contact John Smith, and input (e-mail address removed) for his
email address, then change his email address in his contact file to
something else ([email protected]), Outlook still insists on sending
emails addressed to "John Smith" in the TO line to the original
deleted email address!

This seems to be a problem with the autofill memory, as it also
happens if I delete ENTIRELY the contact for John Smith and create a
brand NEW contact for John Smith using the new email address. Outlook
2002 still insists on sending the emails to the old original email
address!

This is very frustrating....... If I have John Smith as a contact,
and I send and email to John Smith, it should send the email to
whatever email address Contact database has for John Smith!

Anyone have this issue and know how to solve it? ARgh.... my brothers
have the same issue, different machines, different states!

Thanks -
Kim.

In Outlook 2002, if the autocomplete feature pops up an old or incorrect address, use the up/down arrow keys to highlight it, then press Delete.

Unfortunately, that does not correct the problem... (first thing I as
well as others I know have tried...)

Thanks..
Kim.
