Hello. I have been dredging all over the net trying to find a freeware
address book with two specific features. I have found plenty of excellent
little programs with either one or the other, but not both. Firstly, it
needs to be able to contain hyperlinks to other files on the same machine,
as well as to web sites and a mailto: function to light up my default email
program. Secondly, each person's entry must be able to be linked into as
many groups as I care to create, not as copies but as links, so that
modifying one does it in all groups it is included in. Ideally I would like
a few user definable fields as well.
I am the minister of a church and need this sort of functionality. The good
ol' wab actually does it all very well except that it won't let me hyperlink
to another file on the same machine. Excel does quite well also, except it
stuffs something up when I try to hyperlink, and it's really pretty clumsey
for this sort of use anyway.
I would be grateful if anyone can point me to anything out there that will
do all this, and I accept that I may have walked straight past something and
missed it, but I've spent so many hours looking that I don't think so. May
grateful thanks for any responses.
