ne of my clients is experiencing this strange issue in
Outlook:
When composing a new mail message, he types "max" in
the 'TO' field. It selects the proper name of "Maxodon,
Hal" it also brings up another contact "Halsted, Karen".
This is just one example, there are more instances than
just this one, but it seems to be associating part of the
correct name with part of the incorrect name (Hal).
Also, and this may be related, sometimes it will enter a
contacts name twice when selected. For example, when
composing a new letter, type "judy" in the 'TO' field, it
will automatically place the correct name two times "Judy
Manning; Judy Manning". Consequently the contact
receives two e-mails.
The workstation in question is running Office XP on
Windows 98. I have tried to reinstall Office as well as
performing the Detect and Repair feature.
Any assistance to this matter is appreciated.
Thank you,
Michael Whitkofski
