Is it possible to set up Outlook 2000 to have two separate address
books with different addresses in each. Same question for Outlook
Express 5.

Outlook does not use an address book. It uses Contacts Folders. You can
create as many Contacts Folders as you wish in Outlook. They will all appear
in the Address Book interface as long as you enable them as e-mail address
books in the Properties for each folder.

This is a group to support Outlook from the Office group of programs.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and is a quite different
program despite its similar name..

You will probably get a faster and more expert answer if you post this to an
outlook express news group.

Try posting in one of these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress for OE 6.x

A good website for information on OE is:
http://www.tomsterdam.com/

I am an OE user trying to migrate to Outlook 2003. I have in OE several
different folders with different addresses. I have a wab file for each of
those folders, but I cannot seem to find an option for importing from a wab
file. It just re-imports from OE "Main Identities Contacts". My need to
organize addresses into folders and to filter hotmail to the trash bin are
important issues for using Outlook 2003.

Thanks,

Lou

We can only answer the Outlook end of things. Outlook cannot import from a
WAB file directly. It can only import from OE, and then only the main
Contacts Folder.
Ask in an OE group to see if it will let you export into some other file
format such as CSV that Outlook can import.

Thanks, I just tried selecting the contacts in that folder and exporting as
csv but the only contacts that made the transfer were the main ones I had
not seleceted. I'll post in another group.

Thanks again,

Lou
