When I click the 'To' button to take me to address book, in oder to identify person I'm sending an email to, I get taken to the 'contacts' list, with a separate a separate line for each person's email, phone, fax, mobile etc. It means that some of my contacts are listed 5 or 6 times. When I request a search in the Outlokk address book, I get a box telling me there are no entries in the address book

Is there any way i can configure the 'to' button when composing emails to show just the person's email address (not their fax etc) or is there any way i can transfer the relevant email information from 'contacts' to outlook's address book

Thanks in anticipation of any help/guidanc

That's the way the Outlook Address Book has always worked. The standard
behavior for the Outlook Address book is to display all electronic addresses
(both fax and e-mail). That behavior cannot be changed. The only way to
prevent the display of fax numbers is to store them in a different field or
to disguise them (e.g., precede them with an alpha character) so that
Outlook won't recognize them as phone numbers.
There are also a number of utilities available that can do this for you
automatically. Some are listed here:
