All...i am wondering if someone out there knows hows to modify the Outlook
Address book. I currently run Outlook 2002 or mor commonly known as Outlook
XP. I need to get rid of two columns in the address book labled "E-mail
Type" and "E-mail Address". The e-mail type shows "EX" probably for
"Exchange" and the "E-mail Address" which shows the UNC information for a
particular user. Both of which are completly useless to an typical enduser.
It would be kinda nice to have the e-mail address column show the actual
e-mail address for a particular user not just the UNC information which it is
currently doing right now. If you are confused on what I am trying to get
across please e-mail me at (e-mail address removed) and I will then respond with a
screen print of what I am trying to do. So, if someone can respond back with
suggestions on how this can be done it would be nice...thanks

The address book view has never been subject to configuration by the end
user. Apparently Microsoft considers it a dinosaur it no longer wants you to
use.

It's not a UNC. It is the email address as Exchange knows it in an X.500
address format. Since Exchange it not at base an Internet mail router,
there's no reason the addresses should be in Internet format.
