When I try to logon to my address book to print some labels when in "Word" I
get the message: Log on failed. You must log on to Microsoft Exchange to
access your address book. Error code "Unspecified error".
I have done a search for Microsoft Exchange but cannot find anything useful.
Please cpuld somebody tell me how to log on.

Thank you.

Thank you for replying to my request. It seems I need OUTLOOK. I would have
thought that a simple requirement like envelope printing would have been
manageable between WORD and Outlook express, but it seems not. Thank you
again. Paul

You can export your Outlook Express addressbook as a csv
file and import it into a spreadsheet or database, maybe
even just a table in WORD. Then you can print labels.

If you have WORD as part of OFFICE you do have OUTLOOK. If
you have WORD as part of WORKS SUITE, you can use the WORKS
database to manage your labels, you can import the csv file
into WORKS. WORKS word processor do labels and should also
work with WORD.

You can get the AVERY plugin for labels too from
www,avery.com

On my new computer, WORD seems to have been substituted for the WORKS
wordprocessor, and is not part of worksuite. I know I can use a csv, that's
how I got my address book off my business computer before I retired.... but
it's an irksome process every time I want to send a letter to a new address.
I suppose I was spoilt. I'll see if I can get OUTLOOK on its own. Thank
you for your help. Paul

WORD is usually found on new computers as part of WORKS
SUITE or a version of MS OFFICE (often the small business
edition). Look and see if you have the full OUTLOOK
program.

It is less expensive to buy (or for an OEM to install) the
WORKS SUITE or OFFICE SBE) than to install the WORD
application by itself.

What computer do you have and where did you buy it? Did you
get a list of installed software? If you didn't the Bel Arc
Advisor (free download www.belarc.com ) will scan your
computer and give you a list of all the programs installed
on your computer and where they are installed.

WORKS SUITE is installed with no word processor of its own, but WORD
instead. MICROSOFT OFFICE TOOLS is also installed but this offers nothing to
help. OUTLOOK is not on the PC for certain. OE is. Its a MEDION 266 PC.

Thanks Paul

Works word processor is installed. There are just no obvious way to start
it. Look in the Works folder.

You should be able to put the addressbook in the WORKS
database and use it to mail merge, if not with WORD, then
install the WORKS word processor too.

And there it was! So thanks I now have the Works Word processor, and see it
links with my address book. I shall persue this route.

Cheers and thanks Paul

wordprocessor, and is not part of worksuite.

Both Word and the Works word processor are available in Work Suite.
