Address Book failure

I have the strangest problem with Outlook 2002. While trying to sort out a
missing dll error message, I managed to delete the outlook pst file and had
to restore it from a backup.

Email, Calendar, Contacts etc all came back fine but when I try to open the
address book from any of the address book icons, I get this dialog:

"The address list could not be displayed. The Contacts folder associated
with this address list could not be opened. It may have been moved or
deleted, or you do not have permissions."

As I said, the Contacts can be opened directly from the icons on the left
hand side but not from an address book icon.I've been round and round the
configuration but I can't cure it.

I'd be grateful for any help with this.
