I have just install Office XP on my notebook computer. I wanted to replace
the Outlook address book with the one I use with Outlook on my desktop
computer. So I replaced the Outlook folder in Documents and Settings with a
copy of the Outlook folder from the desktop computer. After doing that I got
the following message when I tried to open the address book from the
toolbar:
"The address list could not be displayed. The contacts folder associated
with this address list could not be opened; it may have been moved or
deleted, or you do not have permissions. For more information on how to
remove this folder from the outlook address book, see Microsoft Help."
I have tried many approaches to resolve the problem including un-installing
Office XP, deleting the Outlook folder in Documents and Settings, deleting
files from the Outlook folder in My Programs, and then re-installing Office
XP. After doing this, I still get the same error message.
Any suggestions?
