address bar

my address abr has disappeared, there is a link at the top which does nothing. i've tried view -toolbars which is the only help i have managed to find so far. can any one suggest a way of getting my address back?
 
Hi Steven,

First, make sure you did not drag another toolbar on top of it. Right-click
a blank area and make sure "lock the toolbar" is not checked, then try
dragging some of them around. Also make sure that the entry for address bar
IS checked.
