Address bar

I am having trouble removing several listings/links from
my address bar. I can use clear history to remove many
of my listings, but there seems to be a number of them
that are permanently embedded. Clear history does not
work and neither does delete for these listings.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You probably have corruption in your History folder.
Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder (and the index.dat file) and a new one will be created when
you restart.
Or the History folder can be deleted manually:
