Address bar

I cannot get the address bar on my toolbar. I go to View and put the check
by "address bar" and only a little square shows up and says "addr". The
white box to enter a web address does not show up. I cannot drag this box
anywhere and when I right click there are no available options such as
"unlock the toolbar". This trouble started a couple of days ago when I
noticed at the same time that the standard buttons on the toolbar look
different than they used to. For example the back button used to have a
backwards arrow and say Back. Now there is only an arrow. Any suggestions
to fix my address bar problem would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Roger K.

If you see the smallest piece of the Address Bar (usually the name)
then stretch the Address bar back to a normal size and move it if
necessary. If the Button Bar or some other bar is to the right of it,
you may want to move that to a different position first.

Don't forget to ensure "Lock the Toolbars" is unchecked in
View-Toolbars.

A further fix:

"The Internet Explorer Address bar is missing"

You can get a .reg file that will do Method 2 here:
