address bar history
can you only delete the ones you don't want instead of
all of them?
Thanks
Darc

Yes.

To remove an AutoComplete entry from a Web form, highlight the item in the
AutoComplete dropdown and press the Delete key.

To remove all Web form AutoComplete entries, go to the Internet Explorer
Tools menu, select Internet Options, Content, AutoComplete, then press the
"Clear Forms" button.

Clear Forms button
[[Click this to clear your History folder of all entries you've previously
made in Web pages. This ensures that nobody else can use your computer and
attempt to view any private information you've previously entered, by
viewing what entries are listed by AutoComplete.]]

To delete Autocomplete entries from the Address bar list

[[The AutoComplete feature saves previous entries you've made for Web
addresses, forms, and passwords. To delete entries from the Address bar, you
must clear your History folder. You cannot clear individual entries from the
list of saved entries.

1. On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options.
2. Click the General tab.
3. Under History, click Clear History.

Notes
When typing information in Web forms, and typing passwords, you can remove
an item from the list of suggestions by clicking the item and then pressing
the DELETE key. ]]

Hi,

Yes, you can by directly editing the registry. Click start/run, type regedit
and click ok. Expand the plus (+) signs to reach this key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs

Click on the key and you will see the entries from the address bar
represented by string values in the right pane. Delete the strings from
there that you do not want.

Darcy,

You can delete individual History items by first enabling
Hidden files, folders, and system files :
http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html

Then use Windows Explorer or My Computer and navigate to

C:\Documents and Settings\<Your User Account Name>\Local Settings\History

Open the folder for the date desired, and then the folders pertaining to
the web sites visited, and delete the visited pages that you no longer
wish to keep in History.
