IE seems to be working fine except when I try to launch a new window directly
by typing address into address bar and pressing go or enter. IE will follow
hotlinks and will respond to home page quickly, but it takes 60 seconds to go
to new page if typed at address bar. I have re-installed IE component,
cleared all internet files including history and problem still persists. Any
help please??

Hi,
This could be caused by a corrupted (damaged) History folder. Delete the
History folder and a new one will be created on restart.

Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder and a new one will be created when you restart.
Or the History folder can be deleted manually:

Or, this may also be a malware problem (spyware, hijacker, parasite, etc)
See these sites for help:

Hope this helps,
