address bar trouble

Alright. I'm trying to make the pc as safe as I can. It seems that to get
inside the PC a person just has to go up to the address bar and click the
arrow to the right so that a list pops down with shortcuts to all the other
harddrives and things. There's a way to stop the drop-down menu from coming
down but I don't know what it is. Can someone please help me?

Is this pc used by only you, or by others as well?

You may be referring to Windows Explorer. AAIK, there is very little, if any, to place restrictions on its address bar.

I'm not the only one who uses it. I'm trying to keep people out of the
important files like the C drive where all the Windows files are stored. The
thing is that when you open a window you can see that it has the address bar.
At the right of it it has a down arrow that you can click and it's a
drop-down menu type thing. The menu then shows (folders) the icons to the
other drives, and (on the internet) recently viewed sites. There's a way
where you can just click the arrow but nothing happens. I'm not too good
with computers so I'm not sure it it makes sense.
