Hi gang!
Just a week or so ago the address bar would automatically
insert http:// when I typed a web address. It no longer
does that, and I don't know why. Now it takes about 20
seconds for it to go to the web address after I hit go.

I haven't changed any settings.

Any idea as to how to get the http:// back?

Thanks in advance!

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\URL\Prefixes]

Mike:

Thanks for the reply. Everything in the registry was as
you indicated.

I've also noticed url links in emails I receive in
Outlook Express also take forever to open the web page.

What's my next move?

Lou

Then I would check for parasites.

Remove all the parasites on your computer.
Delete all the spywares and bad BHOs from your system.

List of bad BHOs.
