Address bar not displayed

XP pro show the address bar when I have a window open
such as "view workgroup computers". Home edition just
shows the word "address" on the right of the bar, and no
details. Are they supposed to be different?

Two things:

First, see the stacked dots to the left of the word address? Grab it with
the mouse and move it to the left.
-or-
Click the word address and when the mouse changes to a four way arrow drag
down and release.

No luck. The word "address" is in a box all by itself to
the far right of the main toolbar. There are no dots to
click and the 4-way arrow does not appear. I tried the
right and left buttons. Still stymied. I am a
programmer and own a networking company. This should not
stump me so much.

It's finally fixed. The "lock tool bars" was set. When
I unlocked that, the dots you described appeared. Thank
