Address bar issues after installing XP SP 2

I installed XP SP2 today and all seems to be fine except
for a couple fo strange issues in IE6. One is that I can
no longer access the adress bar. I can type a new address
into it but if I try to lick on the drowdown arrow to
view or slect a previously typed in address, tIE hangs
and crashes and closes. The other address bar issue is I
can no longer type in www.microsoft.com to go to a
website, I have to type in the full URL of
http://www.microsoft.com. Can anyone help me figure these
two problems out?
