The address bar window has disappeared from my browser on
at least two different computers after doing the Windows
upgrades. The title is there but there is no window and
therefore now place to type an pathname. Anyone else
have this?

Make sure that the NoAddressBar Value Name is NOT set to a data value of 1 at
the following registry keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions

Thank you for the responses but neither worked. The address bar is clicked
and I have the label on the tool bar but now window for the address. I can
work around this by first using open to get the browser window and then
clicking the folder option but I use the (right click - explorer) or the
explore shortcut a lot and this is driving me nuts.

Uh, humm... something similar happened to me after I installed the Google
toolbar. Go poke around Google's toolbar FAQ page and there you will find a
registry tweak (or something, I've forgotten), that will cause IE to
rebuild it's toolbars. Maybe that will fix it.
