I have windows 2000 professional nt on an IBM.My problem
is that as I type in an address on the address bar a
history drops down for previously accessed sites starting
with whatever letters are typed in the address bar.For
instance,if I type in "e" on the address bar,"ebay.com"
drops down with other sites that begin with "e".The
problem is that some of these addresses
are, well, embarassing and I can't get some of them to
delete.I used the erase history function under internet
tools but some of them remain anyway.I highlight in blue
and hit delete,nothing happens.Any suggestions?Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried deleting your temporary internet files.
That would normally take care of that problem.

Actually, clearing the temporary internet files won't do it. The simplist
way is this: Right-click on an unoccupied part of the Task Bar and select
Properties. Select the Advanced tab and click the button labeled Clear.
The drop-down box is now clear. There are other ways of accomplishing the
same thing, but they involve editing the registry or using a script which
automates the edit.
