address bar and browsing

i'm having problems with the address bar in ie6. http
doesn't default, so i can't browse, unless i type it in.
the tools settings look correct.
 
With IE open, go to Tools > Options > Advanced. Scroll down to Search. Check
"Just go to the most likely site." Click OK.
