I have win2k server. I need to all 5 people to access my
server using terminal services. Right now I have it set
up but only 2 people can access my server at at time. I
need to allow 5. I set up terminal services in
application mode and have purchased a client license pak
that inclused 5 cals.

What is the next step that I need to take? How do I get
my server to allow the additional users?

Thanks
Wayne

First, double check that TS is installed in application server mode.

Second, make sure that you have enough CALS to cover both TS and non-TS
connections. Example, if three machines are connected locally only two
machines would be able to connect via TS.

Third, make sure that you also have TS CALS, which are purchased in addition
to normal OS CALS. These need to be installed on a TS license server.

Hope this helps,

* What is the error message that users get when they are not
connected?
* Is there anything in the EventLog on the server when the user
tries to connect?
* Have you double checked that TS is installed in Application
mode?
* If in Application mode, have you installed and activated a
Terminal Services Licensing Server (even if all of your clients
run W2K Pro or XP Pro)?
* Can you connect a maximum of 2 concurrent users, irrespective of
which client PC is used, or can you only connect with the same two
clients?
* Have you checked if there is a connection limit set on the rdp-
tcp connection?
