I keep getting the error message ' c:\Documents and Settings\Neil Cheshire\Application Data\Microsoft\Addins' is not a valid application. This appears each time I open Outlook (2002 version). I have looked at the tools>options>others>advanced>coms area and when I try and clik on the coms button the same error message appears. I cannot seem to find out what it is doing and why and how to get rid of it.

With Outlook closed see if deleting a file called "Extend.dat" helps (this
will get recreated when you start Outlook)

Depending on your operating system then it could be hidden, go to Control
Panel > Folder Options > View > check "Show Hidden Files and Folders" and if
you are using Windows XP you also need to specify that your search includes
hidden files and folders (in the Search Advanced Options).
